Description
This is only one of hundreds of North American Indian images taken by Edward S. Curtis ,during his lifetime. He documented the peoples and artifacts of a disappearing culture and portraits of its people , as the U.S. governments' plan of destruction of their culture and livelihood increased. These women were washing harvested wheat in the river, in New Mexico. Curtis used the daguerreotype image developing system that left images stained with a dark tint. I have taken the old image and with my Windows 10 Legacy Photo system, sharpened, monochromed, and lightened the composition for clearer detail and brightness. NOTE: The FAA logo will not appear on your ordered image or object.
