Elizabeth has recently been selected as one of the top 100 emerging artists in Australia and New Zealand by a committee of art experts including Ben Quilty, Roslyn Oxley, Amanda Love and Leif Podhajsky. She was selected from over 400 artists to exhibit at The Other Art Fair 27-30 October 2016 at The Commune in Waterloo Sydney Australia. Following on from the success of this Elizabeth has now been selected for the The Other Art Melbourne 4-8 May 2017

Elizabeth recently had her first solo gallery exhibition at the Milk Factory Gallery in Bowral.

Elizabeth found her true calling after being hit in the back of the head by a tennis ball playing competitive tennis in 2009. Prior to that Elizabeth had no interest in art. She suddenly got an overwhelming urge to paint much to her surprise. She started to read art books and teach herself practicing and experimenting her painting techniques on the kitchen table. After a year she decided to join the Ewart Gallery, Willoughby for her first group exhibition. She sold 9 paintings on that day and received 4 commissions.

Elizabeth’s art is now held in private collections around the world including America, Austria, UK, Germany, Croatia, Slovakia, Israel, New Zealand and Australia.

Elizabeth says “ I am a positive person, I want to see the good in life and my paintings reflect how I try to live my life. I love to create art that makes people smile and I feel so rewarded when people tell me how happy it makes them feel”

Every painting is full of colour, pattern, texture and interesting finishes. It certainly will make a big impact in any room. She uses acrylic, inks, resin and varnish to create her art, which ranges from whimsical to abstract. Many collectors come back for more paintings after their first and the record is held by a North Shore collector, who purchased 12 paintings.

Elizabeth Langreiter joined Fine Art America on August 11th, 2010.
