Description
These large migrating Sandhill Cranes ( Grus canadensis ) were foraging during our warmer Winter in Indiana ,in cornfield ponds. Two of them are doing a mating dance. They are found all over North America and most Winter to Texas and Mexico, in flocks numbering in the thousands. During warm Winters, they may stay north as long as there is open water areas and food sources. When locating them in a local wildlife area, I simply listen for their distant bugling voices .They have a six to seven foot wingspan in flight and leave their legs dangling. I took the distant image with my little Fuji Finepix S2000HD digital camera in lens zooming mode, for the composition. NOTE: The FAA logo will not appear on your ordered image or object.
