Description
This was the morning of the fourth day at the CPAWS Dumoine River Art Camp. I decided to paint on the shore of Robinson Lake after returning from Grande Chute and the early morning painting session. The Subaru Forester was getting low on gas and I needed to reserve enough in the tank to get back the 35 kilometres or so to Swisha. The rest of the paintings were all completed from the same spot on the north shore of Robinson Lake. The bugs were still hungry so the mesh suit of armour was essential.
I had very few canvases left so I started to paint on my canoe panels that I keep in special water proof plastic containers.
This is the view toward the northeast across Robinson Lake. I enjoyed the morning clouds and wanted to paint them on a smooth panel with bold strokes. These cumulus clouds were characteristically shaped by the northerly boundary layer winds.
